报告人介绍：王强，加拿大卡尔顿大学（Carleton University）数学与统计系教授、博导。2000年获加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学（Memorial University of Newfoundland）数学博士学位， 2002年5月到加拿大卡尔顿大学数学与统计系工作，2010年在清华大学高等研究所做访问学者，现在中科院信工所访问。主要从事有限域及其应用、流密码、离散数学、代数及数论方面的研究。多次承担加拿大自然科学与工程技术研究理事会资助项目，主要包括（Individual Discovery grant, NSERC of Canada，NSERC Engage grant）等。在Finite Fields Appl.、Discrete Applied Mathematics、Designs Codes and Cryptography、IEEE Transactions on Information Theory等国际著名期刊发表学术论文60余篇；应邀为Finite Fields Appl.、IEEE Transaction on Information Theory、Designs, Codes and Cryptography、Discrete Mathematics、Journal of Number Theory等25余种国际学术期刊审稿；组织the Fields-TIMC Workshop on Functions and Geometries over Finite Fields、Fields Workshop on “Algebraic Monoids, Group Embeddings and Algebraic Combinatorics”、 Carleton Finite Fields Workshop、SETA等多个著名国际会议。
